Recognizing the Best of our Profession is a Critical Part of the KSAE Community

KSAE Professional Awards of Excellence

KSAE will honor the outstanding accomplishments of its members by presenting the KSAE Professional Awards of Excellence.  Nominations will be collected and the Professional Awards of Excellence will be presented at the 2018 Annual Convention.

Association Executive of the Year

The Executive of the Year is the highest recognition given by KSAE to the Chief Staff Executive of an association in Kentucky that exemplifies the very best in association management, continually bringing credit to the profession and to the entire association community. The person has demonstrated qualities of teamwork (ability to work with and support others), vision (ability to see possibilities for making things happen and communicating this vision to others) and servant leadership (willingness to reach out beyond work and home to benefit the community).

Nominee’s Eligibility Criteria:

  • An individual, not an organization or company
  • Have demonstrated the desire to positively influence the profession as a mentor or role model
  • Be a full active member of KSAE for at least three years
  • Have served as an advocate for positive growth and development of the profession
  • Not be the current KSAE President

Other considerations for nomination include:

  • Outstanding leadership
  • Professional achievement
  • Mentor or steward to colleagues or employees
  • Excellence or accomplishments within the individual’s organization (awards, promotions, internal recognition programs)
  • Past participation or service in KSAE
  • Recognition by peers

Supplier of the Year

This award is presented to a supplier member in recognition of outstanding association and industry contributions, leadership and professionalism. The selection of this award is based on a history of accomplishments in our industry as well as to meeting management and for furthering the aims of KSAE and its mission. The supplier of the year serves as a role model for other suppliers.

Nominee’s Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be an affiliate member of KSAE for at least three years
  • Must possess high ethical standards

Other considerations for nomination include:

  • Outstanding leadership
  • Professional achievement
  • Mentor or steward to colleagues or employees
  • Excellence or accomplishments within the individual’s organization (awards, promotions, internal recognition programs)
  • Past participation or service in KSAE
  • Recognition by peers

Emerging Leader

Awarded to an individual who has been a member of KSAE for fewer than 3 years and exhibits a strong sense of initiative on behalf of the association community. This person may or may not have been a member of a committee, but will have shown willingness to devote his or her energies to KSAE and its vibrancy.

President’s Award

The President's Award is given at the discretion of the President of KSAE to someone who has truly helped him/her during his/her year as president. The award is in recognition of exceptional service, dedication and significant contributions to KSAE and the association community.  This award is given at the discretion of the current president and not necessarily awarded every year.
